This past Friday we took a day excursion to the Island of Capri. We have two days left on our Rail Passes and not alot of cash! So we figured it would be cheaper to go to 2 places rather than one place for a few nights and have to spend the money on a hostel/hotel and food for that long. So this Friday we’re going to Bari (Mikey’s family is from there).
However, back to Capri! It was definetely something I’ve never exerienced before. It’s a small Island off the Coast of Naples, Sorrento, and Pompei. Very hilly and rocky terrain (you can notice that from my pictures). But the waters there are insanely BLUE! We couldn’t take a boat ride around the island or go into the Blue Grotto because the waters were too rough, but it was still an amazing day out to hang out by the waters! We almost rented Scooters until they found out we never drove them before. So we were stuck walking, but it wasn’t that bad. I got another shirt to add to my collection of shirts from the places I’ve been to in Europe (Jason…it’s yellow, finally not dark blue or grey!). Check out the pictures and the 2 videos that are online to see the coast and the hills!
Our goal this week is to go to St. Peter’s square for Easter service on Sunday. However, we’re hearing contradicting comments regarding tickets to get in. So I guess we’ll just have to talk to more people and see what we can do. Big Josh and I both think it would be pretty wild to get there on Easter even though we’re both not Catholic. Ciao for now!
